Slogan keramat yang memecah suasana tenang politik Malaysia sesudah bekas Timbalan Perdana Menteri Anwar Ibrahim dipecat pada 2 September 1998.

Maka bermulalah gerakan besar-besaran rakyat yang bangun mempertahankan keadilan dan menyanggah kezaliman Mahathir dan kuncu-kuncunya sejak krisis ekonomi Asia setahun sebelumnya.

Jika diamati gerakan ini yang genap 13 tahun hari ini, telah banyak kebobrokan rejim Umno/BN dibongkar satu persatu melalui serangan politik yang konsisten biarpun Anwar sendiri hidup di penjara selama enam tahun.

Dan, setelah 15 tahun berlalu, Anwar tetap istiqamah dengan pendiriannya bahawa rejim Umno/BN mesti ditumbangkan untuk menyelamatkan Malaysia dari kemusnahan total tidak kira siapa pemimpinnya.

Syria: US Moves Warship As Strike Calls Grow

24/08/2013:SKY NEWS:US defence officials said an additional warship has been moved into the Mediterranean Sea as calls for military action against the Syrian regime grow following an alleged chemical attack.

The US Sixth Fleet has decided to keep the USS Mahan in the region instead of letting it return to its home port in Norfolk, Virginia.
Three other destroyers are currently deployed in the Mediterranean - the USS Gravely, USS Barry and USS Ramage.
All four warships are equipped with several dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles which would allow the Pentagon to act rapidly if a military strike was ordered against Syria.
US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel suggested commanders have prepared a range of "options" for President Barack Obama if he chose to launch a strike against Bashar al Assad's regime.
He said: "The president has asked the Defence Department for options. Like always, the Defence Department is prepared and has been prepared to provide all options for all contingencies to the president of the US."
Mr Hagel said he expected US intelligence to "swiftly" assess whether the Syrian government did use chemical weapons in two Damascus suburbs.
Mr Obama last year threatened to punish Assad's regime if it resorted to using chemical weapons during the conflict, saying the use of weapons of mass destruction constituted a "red line" being crossed.
Russia on Friday joined calls for a swift probe into the alleged chemical weapon attack.
Britain and France have pressed for a team of UN inspectors already in Syria to be granted immediate access to the sites of the gas attack that activists say killed more than 130 people.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Friday there was little chance the attack had been carried out by rebels.
He said: "The only possible explanation of what we have been able to see is that it was a chemical attack and clearly many, many hundreds of people have been killed, some of the estimates are well over 1,000.
"I know some people in the world would like to say this is some kind of conspiracy brought about by the opposition in Syria - I think the chances of that are vanishingly small."
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has sent his disarmament chief to Damascus to press Assad's regime to agree to an investigation.
Immediate access would allow inspectors to collect blood and soil samples to detect what chemicals - if any - were used.
The Assad regime has denied it has used chemical weapons, calling the allegations "absolutely baseless".

Petrol price hike causes sales crash

24/08/2013:PRESS ASSOCIATION: SURGE in pump prices led to last month's petrol and diesel sales crashing to winter levels, an AA analysis of Government figures shows.

Drivers bought nearly 1.48 billion litres of petrol in July 2013 - an 8% fall on the June 2013 figure.
This was only 45 million litres more than the record low in February this year and just 11 million litres more than the January 2013 total.
July 2013 sales of diesel were down 5% on June's, dropping to just over 2.21 billion litres. These figures include commercial usage.
The AA said that in June 2013, when the average cost of petrol levelled at 134.6p a litre after surging to 140.0p in the spring, stable lower prices lifted petrol sales to a level last seen in November 2011.
But last month, a sudden 5p-a-litre rise in wholesale costs raised the average pump price from a low of 133.7p on the last day of June to 135.8p by the middle of July and 137.2p by the end of the month. It finally started to level off at 137.6p in the first week of August.
Tax income from duty on petrol and diesel sales fell £142 million in July compared to June and £35 million compared to July 2012, the AA said.
AA president Edmund King added: "It's staggering that when brilliant weather sent consumers into the shops and gave the UK's retail sector a strong boost, the complete opposite happened at the pumps.
"Not only are petrol sales shadowing the record lows of this winter, but are lower than last July which included a week of Olympics football, opening ceremony and initial events."
He went on: "It seems that, as each penny increase registers on fuel forecourt price boards, drivers automatically cut back - even if they're in the mood to spend elsewhere."

MALAYSIAN POLICEMAN LOSES GUN TO THIEF AFTER FALLING ASLEEP IN CAR

PETALING JAYA: A 48-year-old serious crimes officer was robbed of his gun with 15 bullets after he fell asleep in his car in Section 7, Shah Alam early Monday.
It is learnt that the sergeant-major was returning home after attending his father’s funeral in Klang at around 1.45am when he stopped his car by the side of the road near a housing area as he was feeling tired.
He wound down the car window halfway, reclined his seat and closed his eyes for some rest.
After a while, he felt  something tugging at his thigh and woke up to find a man pulling out his Walther semi-automatic gun from his holster.
The man escaped in a red Honda motorcycle before the officer could do anything.
It is believed that the officer also lost his passport, smartphone and RM600 in cash. He lodged a police report at the Shah Alam police station.
Selangor acting police chief Datuk A. Thaiveegan confirmed the incident.

 KUALA LUMPUR: The authorities are hot on the heels of a gun salesman who has been offering an arsenal of weapons for sale on Facebook.

The anonymous man had over the past week offered a range of guns and ammunition costing between RM4,000 and RM15,000.

An AK-47 rifle was being hawked for RM12,000 while a Smith & Wesson model (500), a single-action large calibre revolver, including two boxes of ammunition were available for RM15,000.

Also available were cheaper pistols for RM4,000.
But soon after the page, called “Malaysia Gun Shop,” caught the attention of Facebook users and the city police, it was taken offline.

City CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police have started an investigation after being alerted to the page by Facebook users.
“We initiated an investigation to track the person who created the page as soon as were alerted to it.”

Ku said whether the Facebook page owner actually had the weapons, or was simply posting pictures, is still under investigation.
“We are working with the cyber crime department and other authorities to track him down,” he said.

The case is being investigated for weapon trafficking and possession of firearms.
A check on the page by The Malay Mail on Facebook before it was taken down saw the gun salesman posting various pictures of weapons for sale.
The page was only created a week ago.
Many who came across the page condemned the gun salesman, telling him that what he was doing was illegal, with some even threatening to report him to the authorities.
However, he defended himself by saying he would carefully choose his buyers and would not sell them to criminals.

On another posting, the salesman also tried to prove that he really had the guns by posting a picture of a piece of paper, dated August 12, 2013, with the name of a person who had condemned him and placing a gun beside it.
The picture was posted on the page.
Ku urged those with information to contact the nearest police station or Rakan Cop Hotline or SMS 32728.
